Job Description:
St. Mary’s Academy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Substitute School Nurse to support the health and well-being of our students when our full-time nurse is unavailable. As a vital part of our school community, the nurse provides not only medical care but also comfort, reassurance, and a sense of safety to students of all ages. This is an on-call, as-needed position serving our K-12 school.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staA;
- Administer medications according to school policies;
- Monitor and manage student health conditions;
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation; and
- Communicate with parents, faculty, and administration regarding student health concerns;
Qualifications/Requirements:
Education and qualifications should include the following:
- LPN or RN license preferred
- Experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or a related field preferred
- CPR Training required - or ability to obtain training
- Strong assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond eAectively to medical situations
- A sense of resonance with the St. Mary’s Academy mission
Salary/Benefits: This part-time position pays $125 per day.
