CA seeks a Full-Time Pre-K Faculty position which reports to the Lower School Principal effective April 5, 2025. This is a team-teaching opportunity to work with two faculty members as co-teachers. This is a 2-month position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Relate to students in an age-appropriate manner while creating a safe, supportive, mutually respectful classroom community which values the distinct contributions, background, and abilities of each child
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop, plan, and implement literacy support instructional plans
- Provide exceptional academic instruction focused on meeting the needs of diverse learners consistent with current evidence-based educational practices
- Work with students individually and in small group instruction to inspire and help children develop to their full potential
- Maintain records on students for the purpose of directing further instruction, evaluating and reporting students' progress
- Make recommendations regarding student evaluations and progress to determine continuation in the literacy support program
- Communicate students' progress to classroom teachers and parents.
- Assist in scheduling and administering tests to determine qualifying candidates for the literacy support program.
- Attend faculty and staff meetings and professional day opportunities
- Support rules of conduct and discipline and suitable learning environment in the classroom and during recess
- Maintain all ECE licensing training requirements
Requirements
- Teaching experience, preferably at least 3 years, and preferably in early childhood
- Effective and supportive communication skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple and ongoing tasks
- Ability to interpret and communicate assessment and evaluation results
- Bachelor Degree required, Masters Degree preferable
- Colorado Shines certifications

The pay for this position is the prorated amount of the full time equivalent annual salary of $63,200 - $113,900. Although this is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any wage differential that may exist for the position does not relate to sex, gender or gender identity, but relates solely to a seniority system, a merit system, or relevant education, training and/or experience. Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance benefit programs are available, as is a 403(b) retirement plan. Eligibility for all benefit programs is defined by the applicable plan document.
