About the Logan Learning Lab
The Logan Learning Lab launched in the summer of 2018 to make Logan’s model of education accessible to a greater number of underrepresented gifted students - students of color and low-income students, from neighboring public schools. While participating in the Lab, students learn on- and off-campus about units in an area of interest and share their learning with others. This two-week, immersive program allows students to explore a topic they are passionate about with support from a team of student buddies and teachers. Students and families take home portfolios of their work that can be a resource for navigating their school/district. The Lab programming is intentionally designed to allow students to experience a learner-centered model and, hopefully, help parents reimagine what learning - and school - can be, and help families build advocacy tools. Participation, food, and transportation are offered at no cost.
